Here is my take on this theory. You are going to get a broad array of responses and everyone is going to have a different opinion on this subject. I too have had ppl tell me, "don't go to the bar to meet a guy,...they are nothing but greasy & sleezy drunks there!" and that's fine, they are entitled to their own opinion. And there are ppl that will tell you to stay away from online dating because of a lot of crazies that are out there, but again, everyone is going to have a different opinion.

And to tell you the truth, I've done the online dating thing. It's ok,..but I'm not that much into it. I went on a date w/a guy from plentyoffish and I just saw too many red flags w/the creep. But that doesn't mean that all of them are like that. As far as the bar scene, it's not my style or my cup of tea but that's just me. Others may be into the bar scene to meet guys and that is perfectly fine. Of course, you may just find that nice guy at the bar, who knows. Then again, you meet him at the gas station while pumping gas,...you never know.

But what I'm saying is, a lot of ppl are going to give you all kinds of opinions from different angles. It's kind of like a two way street I suppose. There is a guy I've been talking to for the past seven years that I met online. He's a great guy and love him to death. The only problem is, he is in Souther Illinois and I'm here in Middle TN. He's about 3.5 hours away, but I don't do good in ldr (long distance relationships).

Do what feels comfortable with you. Sure it's good to get everyone's opinion and like I already said, a lot of ppl are going to tell you their opinions and a lot of ppl are going to have a different side to it, and that's fine. But go w/your gut and do what makes you feel comfortable.

I think the people who say don't go to bars or don't date online are the ones who've never really had to struggle with meeting someone.
