Ok ladies.

My ex had got fired about 1 1/2 ago. So ofcourse there went my child support. I told him what he needed to do to file for unemployment. I got a check in the mail yesterday to my surprise. I checked unemployment today to see what was the maximum payout. Apparently it's roughly $405. Well if the check amount i got is correct Im getting more than half of his unmemployemnt benefits. I know he is going to be beyond furious. He's in arrears over $2,000.

Im a little worried, not sure how he will take this. He already accused me of crippling him financially when he was working and I took him to court for child support. What should I do.

He might just have to learn to live with himself being furious ;-)

I don't think you should do anything. You have to worry about your own financial problems, he's got to worry about his.

Agreed with first and wild. You have to worry about you. Part of separating yourself from him is letting him worry about his own issues. It isn't your fault that he has to pay for his children.

Although I realize it is hard to do.... you HAVE to let him be angry. He will get over it. Do not let it get to you... remember he has to own his own decisions before he will get over his anger regarding his own responsibilities. Until then, he is only taking it out on you because he is feeling guilty and angry that someone ( the government ) is forcing him to take responsibility for his own actions.

Hugs and don't worry!
