Since it's been over 5 years for me and dating. If I go out a date with this guy, do I let him pick me up at my house, do I meet him at the place? I dont know. I mean yes we work together but I really dont know much about him at all. What do I do?

Since you don't know him that well, I say meet him at the restaurant (or wherever). If you continue dating, then you can let him pick you up.

I think in any situation in this day and age, it would be best to meet him wherever you are going. Plus since you don't exactly know all the details of his situation with the mother of his child, it would be best to keep yourself in an atmosphere where you are in control. You can leave when you want to leave. Whether on a date of not, I'd rather have my own vehicle. That way you don't have to depend on anyone but yourself. On a positive note, just go out and have fun. Don't have too many expectations.

Wow Luv,

I'm amazed at how many women here get right back on the relationship horse!! It took me a year of soul searching, especially with having a young son to take care of to even think about getting back to the dating scene. I read plenty of books, got IC, and tried to get myself back together. Somebody from work? To me that's not too good, considering if things don't go well.

But hey, I'm in my mid 40's - guess you young 'uns are more resilient than I.

Everyone handles the process differently. I have spent the last year and 1/2 in IC, reading plenty of books, getting myself and my life together, taking care of my dd, doing a lot of soul searching AND dating someone.

>>>Somebody from work? To me that's not too good, considering if things don't go well.<<<

Very good point.
