I just spent the last 90 minutes going through cancelled checks from 1997 to the present. I categorized them all-- business expenses; clothing; education; health; household expenses; personal expenses; and recreational expenses. It seems that just by the check records, I have contributed over 25K! I had no idea it was that much. The largest amounts were in the household expenses and business categories. I am a stay at home mom, and for 2 1/2 of those years, I was very ill. I also work in our business without getting a paycheck for it, and have my own business, which is what paid all those expenses above. STBX and his "lawyer"'s argument has been that I sit around doing nothing, contributing nothing, so I'm entitled to nothing.
I'm stunned. I guess when you've been hearing for the last 19 years how much of a burden you and your kids are, and how STBX is the only one who contributes, you start believing it to a degree. Like I said, this is just from my cancelled checks. I can't say how much it's been paying cash, but I'm sure it's a goodish amount.

Have confidence in yourself. You are a special and worthwhile idividual, and worth your weight in gold. Remember God doesn't make junk! Hugs, Brenda

Thanks Brenda!
I've been looking deeper, and I've been paying for a lot of office supplies out of MY pocket, and NOT being reimbursed for them by our business. I had to give STBX the receipts, STBX has been giving the receipts to the accountant; I paid on my credit card, and he gets the tax break! He kept saying not to tell the accountant that I used my credit card for stuuff. Wait till my lawyer finds out about this stuff!
And that stuff that the 25K paid for... that isn't counting the FREE work I've done for our business since 2002. He's making a lot of money off me, and not claiming it.
