Give us the basics, or as much as you feel comfortable giving... name, location, children, etc...

Tell us a little bit about yourself... what part of the process you're in...

And... one quote or song that has really spoken to you through this process...

*hugs*

Where in Kansas do you live? I grew up in Wichita and moved away on four years ago. I live in Dallas now, no children other than a three year old border collie. I'm preparing to go through the divorce process. It's all going to come to a head in a matter of days.

I am Lisa, I live in California and have three little boys. My husband filed for divorce unknown to me in February. He still lives in our home and refuses to leave until it's sold. I him and I love both at the same time.

I'm Virgo. . .I am originally from Arkansas, but the Army transplanted me in Kansas seven years ago and I'm still here. I am working on a PhD in Human Development. I have 3 children (15 yo dd, nearly 8 yo dd, and a 5 yo ds). My stbx is still active duty Army; just finished his second tour of Iraq (where his most recent infidelity started); and is leaving for Officer Candidate School and a new duty station at the end of this week.

Legally, I filed for divorce on December 8, 2005. It could have been finalized as soon as February 8, 2006, but thanks to my stbx's head being stuck firmly up his a$$ we may not even have an agreement by the time he leaves. If he leaves for OCS without an agreement, we'll be at a standstill until he graduates from that school in July. I'm just a little peeved about this possibility.

Emotionally, I want to be done with him and am totally ready to move on. . .I have started dating, but am not seeking a long-term relationship.

Popping in this Monday to say hi! Got a busy day ahead. I love these roll calls!!

Christine from CT. I've lived in CT for the majority of my life, with a brief stint in MA. I just auditioned for a play last night, which was VERY exciting. I used to do a lot of acting, but being stuck in an unhappy marriage left me very uninspired.

I have an 11 yo DS in 5th grade. He's a very intelligent guy, and has a mouth like his mom...one that can tend to get him in trouble!

STBX and I decided to divorce in July of 2005. I filed for divorce in late August, and moved out then. Suddenly, STBX started suffering from, "don't know what you got 'till it's gone syndrome," and wanted me back. I did spend a couple of days with STBX after the separting, considering reconciling, but I knew IMMEDIATELY that would be a HUGE mistake. I also did start dating about a month after I left. Except for the moment of insanity were I spent some time with STBX, I had been done with the marriage for years. The person I started dating has grown into a wonderful relationship.

The divorce is STILL not final, but could be on April 21, if STBX does not use more stall tactics.

As for a song or quote? You Can't Always Get What You Want by the Rolling Stones. For some weird reason, that song inspires me. Also, Wonderful by Adam Ant is a good one.

i am sk1960, live in jerusalem, israel

i have one DS 19, he is my gift from my first marriage.

second marriage was quite h*ll on earth - very abusive and controlling idiot. DS was/is quite messed up from the whole ordeal and is finally (hopefully) on his way to heal.

in the past 2.5 years since we walked out on that SOB (when he was away on a suppsed 'business trip') and 1.5 years since the divorce was final ---- i have gotten a promotion at work, gone back to school, went to therapy and did a whole bunch of things ON MY OWN (rented an apartment, gotten a good internet deal, etc). geez idiot EX - didn't think i could, did ya??

now all i have to do is lose some weight...
