Husband wants internet divorce

Ok, so H wants to file for D and i don't. However, i think it's inevitable. We have a 1 yo daughter and a 4 week old daughter and i want to work on things for the girls. Anyway, he wants to go through some divorcelaw.com or something. Has anyone ever gone through this type of site? It just doesn't seem legit. Getting a divorce over the internet doesn't seem "right". How are we to split the house? I'm going to keep it, yet i don't want him to be able to have any profit or any rights to it whenever i decide to sell it down the road? What do we do about child support? I want $600 a month for both girls and he only wants to pay $400? Can i not sign the papers or can he still get a divorce without me signing?? How does this work???

Sweetie, Get a lawyer! You need to protect yourself. You have too much going on to not have your own lawyer. Good Luck. Take care of yourself. Hugs, Brenda

I'm going to second Brenda's advice--get an attorney. You do have way too much going on with a house and children, to just do it over the internet. It sounds like your stbx is trying to get out "easy" by going that direction. This can all be overwhelming--so do yourself a favor and talk to a lawyer--most first visits are free in a lot of cases and find out what your (and your children't rights) are...

Good Luck and keep us posted!

Julie

P.S. Your children are adorable!
