& i was stunned.

Quick recap ... its been over 3 months since X has seen dd. I stopped his visitation on Oct 3rd, b/c he was emotionally torturing our 7 yr old dd & she was sobbing, begging not to go - she was terrified.

Wow R,

I'm speechless... absolutely speechless... wow... Its so sad to see our kids having to deal with adult pressures at their young ages, isn't it?

If your X is so damaged then I highly recommend no contact with him.

Oh, Rebecca! I've been reading your story over on Single Moms and Dating. Taz certainly is a piece. (Please feel free to fill in whatever you like for the end part of "piece," either just a plain piece or a piece of, well, something.)

*big hugs*

Averey is way lucky to have you in her life, and you're doing a great job giving her the tools to be strong and independent! Everyone tells me that my girls will learn from XH's mistakes/choices, and I'm certain that Ave will, too. She's already amazing!

Im trying. The best i can do right now is the no visitation or in person contact. Its not my decision, its up to the courts. I cant TELL you what ive gone thru to finally get visitation stopped ... Unfortunatly "the right thing" isnt always the legal thing. Thanks for your thoughts.

Death of any kind, much less suicide, is a very difficult subject to approach with a child this age. My children were having to deal with death from illness and accidents at a young age. I'm sorry that this is happening.

Thanks. She actually doesnt have an appt till NEXT week, as the counselor is out of the country. But Im a bit torn, she isnt "connecting" well with her counselor - or, at the very least, she doesnt like to open up to her at all. Its been a very slow process. & ANYtime

Hmmm... that's really unfortunate that the relationship is difficult to establish.

Hey R., that sounds very much like Rosie. That's what her counselor is for, and yet, she talks to her about the little things (in my mind) like social school issues, as if that's all that's wrong. I KNOW she's got issues with her father, but I'm told that she has a mental thing where if she talks about it, it becomes real, and if it becomes real, it will hurt more than it does.

It might just be a matter of Averey growing comfortable with this one over time.
