So he's STILL in a hotel...best I know--he doesn't say. And when I ask him about how his apt. hunting is going (mind you--he's been in a hotel since late Feb. -- I think it was) I get a vague answer or something snippy. So he's seeing the children, but when he does it's of course at the marital house....because he says the hotel isn't "fit" for the children. Um, excuse me, you're not at Roach Motel, you're at some nice places (e.g. Hilton Garden Inn).

So I'm about ready to lay down

Hey movingon
I hear you on this one for sure. Although my kids are older and not home full time, he still uses them for leverage. I'm at the point where I am going to cut him off coming to the family home as well--uses it as an excuse--says where he is staying isn't "fit" for the kids to go (he's staying at his Mom's basement apartment go figure)
My take on this is that the alcoholic personality is a difficult one,but I have yet to go to an Al Anon meeting to try and get my head around why he is the way he is. Very strange...You will have to see my other post about him making me executor of his will!! GEEZ!!!! talk about pressure in a really weird way...

I agree, their minds are weird as alcoholics. My issue with alanon is I don't feel like I should have to spend my time in order to deal with his issue, especially now that we are no longer trying to make our marriage work and he's not trying to stop drinking, KWIM?

I know alanon have good ideas and are meant for supportive, but what I need right about now is him to man-up, get an apartment or the like and be a positive influence in his children's lives.

Alcoholism sux!

I'll have to look for your post on his will...that should be a good laugh :) Hang in there Horse! You're always so kind to me.

Thanks moving on, we all need to hang in there! About Al-Anon, I too see your point about not going--after all it's out stbx's who need the help.
