I think it's all about giving ourselves time. I still believe in marriage. I'd like to be married again. I feel overwhelmed at the thought of going through the dating process though. So I just know I'm not ready. Maybe when we are ready it won't seem so insurmountable or such a chore. Hang in there Music!! :) And your daughter is sweet to be concerned about ya! Now, if only she wouldn't eat in the TV room ;) Ha ha.

I hear ya musiclover. I'm going to be 50 this year, and I'm really enjoying being on my own. I don't feel like I need a man to complete my life--but I am enjoying time spent with my friends (male & female). Like movingon, I would like to have someone to spend my "twilight" years with (although she's not approaching twilight ;) but I will not get married again. My Mom said to me that she is worried that I am bitter and having another relationship may be hard but worth it--mom's are usually right!! So, I'm not looking, but if he falls in my lap...well...we'll see ;) haha, most of my women friends are horsey ladies, so we worry more about how our horses look, than how we look ;)

My thought right now is that I would have to meet someone first as a friend and get to know him, like if we met through friends or were in the same organization (though I would have to join some organization since I'm not in any now) and have things develop naturally.
