Haven't talked to STBX in a week

This is the first time where it's been (almost) a week since I have talked to my STBX. Last weekend we were busy painting the front porch. Then he asked if he could stop by after work on Mon to pick up some stuff, but he was tired, so he actually came over Tues. He was only there for 5 minutes--he took about 5 plastic boxes full of camera equipment. I don't know where he could put all that stuff in his apt, maybe he will sell it cause he doesn't use it anyway. And I haven't talked to him since then. I was almost going to call & ask him if he wanted to go out to eat on Thurs, when my son was at his dad's but then I kept putting it off, so I realized I really didn't want to, it was more out of guilt at him being alone. This weekend I was busy since my DD was home from college. Unfortunately, since he still hasn't signed the divorce papers I gave him at the beginning of this month, I will have to contact him. Maybe that's his way of keeping me around, but I would like to get it done & over with. I don't really feel that I could date (not that I have any prospects lined up) at least until the papers are signed and I have an idea about when the D will be final and I just don't like having this hanging over my head.

Sounds like the not signing the paperwork is his way of being passive aggressive Music. At least that's the way I'd take it.
Good for you on not calling and realizing eating out with him is not what you really want. I haven't done it lately, but the weekend H moved into his apt. back in July I ate meals with him...I think I was trying to hold on a little longer and avoid reality.
Hang in there. How is the porch? Does it look nice?
Try and have a good week!
The porch railings are done and believe me, it took a lot more time to do it than I thought. We still have to do the deck part, which shouldn't be bad as it's not that big, but he thought he had gotten some gray paint, and he only got white. He works in a paint store, so he got the paint for free. I am just glad we got it done before the cold weather.
I also know he has been going for a lot of medical treatments which is why I am not bugging him about getting the rest of his stuff out, but it shouldn't be that taxing to sign the papers. I think a month is enough to study them.
