Feeling so lazy

I had these plans that on weekends w/o my son, I would get so organized and clean up everything in the house (4 BR, 2 floors). Yeah, right! Of course if there is any opportunity to go out & have fun, I will choose that first. The cleaning can wait. And then I have the excuse that I am anemic, which reduces your energy.

This weekend, on Fri. night, when I came home, I was so tired, I didn't want to go anywhere. I got out of work late, then I stopped by a grocery store to get a salad on the way home (cause I can't stand cooking just for myself) then I just went home & rented the Sex & the City movie on cable, then went to bed. On Sat. I did some shopping, then stayed in at night. I don't think I got much done except the usual laundry and dishes.

I keep trying to meet up w/ STBX who finally has the divorce papers signed, but we haven't been able to get together all last week, hopefully this week. I would just like to get the paperwork over with. He has been having serious health problems and I know this sounds terrible, but I don't want to be responsible for him or for supporting him if he can't work. At least he has disability insurance, which I don't have. Oh and I have to have a medical procedure in Dec. which he will probably have to drive me to & pick me up from the hospital & take me home. Since my DD is at college and 13 yr old son doesn't drive, I don't really have any other choice.

I think it goes with the divorice territory Music. I know I'm starting to feel the need to "hanker down" in my woman cave for a while. I tried to get out, be with friends, socialize, etc. in the last month. And you know what? I'm just not ready. I need some more time to grieve and deal with the ending of my marriage, the crap still coming my way because of it and understand my new "role" as a divorced woman and single mom. It's all so overwhelming at times. I'm trying to give myself a break in dealing with it all. Give yourself a break too!

I'm glad you checked in!

I have Sex & The City, the movie at my house too (via NetFlix)...I'm hoping to watch it next weekend.
