Need help quickly

I have a friend who is need of help. A little background: We live in Va. and her husband moved to Mississippi a little over a year ago. She worked tirelessly to help secure his position as Cheif of Police, which he did. He had to be there immediately which left her here to sell the house, etc. To make a long story short, after he was there a couple of months he told her he didn't want her to join him. She was devastated. She filed for divorce a few weeks ago and was waiting for him to be served. Last week they both got served. She had no idea he had filed. Since he filed first she now has to find an attorney in Mississippi and has to go down there next week.

My question: She is going to need a really good attorney and knows nobody down there who can refer her. By chance, is there anyone here who can recommend someone? He is in Columbus and since he is chief of police, she will probably have to go outside of Columbus.

Thank you all so much for your help!

She could probably call the bar association in Mississippi and get advice and even a recommendation. Another possibility is the law school at Ole Miss. They have a pretty good program and probably have a community outreach program that could help her with recommendations/referrals.
