Well his sister and her husband flew into town this morning. B/F is originally from CA and we live in MN so this will be my first interaction with his siblings and I am nervous. She is very different from me from what I have heard and I am hoping to make a good impression. Very classy business woman(beautiful too boot as well) with no kids and doesnt want kids- has a 3 million dollar home in the Bay area of San Fransisco. ME well hey I am single mom with twins and barely making my bills and well just feel insecure about the whole thing (lets be honest) I am particularly nervous because Tomorrow is my boys birthday and there is plans to go to boyfreinds for BBQ with his kids and the sister/husband and then off to see Spiderman. SO not only planning the party is a stressor but the added factor of making the best impression on top of it. Now I am not sure if any of you know what this is but I have "social anxiety disorder (which isnt at a high degree but I do have it) " so that is a added factor as well. I have lingering thoughts of cancelling the whole ordeal and just HIDING and just going to restaurant with my kids because I am so nervous.

HELP!!

Everything will be fine!

My sister has severe social anxiety disorder, and has to take a xanax before she goes anywhere where she may have to interact with people outside of her "circle" or that is outside her comfort zone, physically.

Have a great time at Spider Man! I want to go!!!!!

Lizbeth:

Good luck to you and happy birthday to your twins.

Don't let the sister intimidate you. And I agree with Maggie, she will probably admire you for raising your twins by yourself. Plus, I'm sure she'll fall in love with them. Twins have a way of wrapping their hearts around strangers. I know, I have a set of my own. Try to relax, and have a great weekend.

Meeting siblings/family always make people nervous...I have been dating my SO for over a year now, and his brother/girlfriend are up here for a visit.. We are in Alaska and all his family is in Missouri. I was so nervous about meeting them, I couldn't even eat that night (saturday)*lol*. We all went on a train trip for the day to spend some time together, his brother's girlfriend was asking me so many questions, so I asked back *lol*It was a fun day, and I was very comfortable w/them. My kids will meet them on Monday (my bday). We will be meeting my SO's kids this summer...

Have a great and wonderful 4th of July..

Be safe.

LOL - nope never been much of a drinker!! So no worries there. although sometimes I wish I was- --just never really understood the whole thing about alcohol - I mean it tastes AWFUL!! I may have a wine cooler or something sweet but beyond that I just dont get it..I know - strange!

Well today is the big day and my boys woke up at 5:30 excited to start the day! I let them open one present- a spiderman t-shirt they will wear at daycare today and they are having a party there and going to the zoo - so they will have a fun day!

As for tonight - well right now I am struggling over what to wear - its sooo hot here today 88 and very humid. Minnesota has the wierdest weather. Last week it was in the 50-60's!!

Anyway I am sure it will be fun and I am excited to meet his sister and see another side of boyfreind as he relates to his family - he adores his sisters so it will be sweet to see I am sure. I did chat with another one of his sisters yesterday and she said that the sister that is here is a sweetheart and has already gotten a good impression of me and is just as excited to meet me - so that made me feel more at ease- sure it will go fine!

Thanks for all the supportive thoughts- I will take them with me today/tonight!

HUGS- Lizbeth
