Hey all, just a quick note. I'm still around though not as much since everything's been so crazy. Had some huge upsets going on in the association I work for and it's been kind of tense. Although, quite unexpectedly, out of all the changes came a promotion for me from a customer service title (although it was a position supervising still it didn't really describe my actual duties very well) to Marketing and Advertising Associate. It came with a small raise as well which although I don't know how much I'll notice it after taxes sure doesn't hurt with the first mortgage payment coming up.

We've basically got everything unpacked and some of the near term projects done on our house, (no more see through bedroom doors with no lock, woo hoo!)although we still haven't tackled the bathroom. It's going to be a bigger job than we'd first hoped because we have to replace the entire tub shower faucet set (the tub spout continues to pour water down the drain even though you have the shower on) and that means ripping out all the tile on that wall. We've pretty much decided to just cover over the tile on the other walls with fiberglass inserts though. But, nearly every weekend in August is already booked with stuff (a bridal shower, a wedding, an anniversary party)so it'll probably have to wait at least until Sept. Funny though, it seems to bother dh much more than me. Aww the fun of home ownership LOL

But we've sure seen bonuses as a family from having the house. I love to watch dd and MG out in the front while he pushes her while she plays on the tire swing. Hearing her giggle and seeing him so happy. It's exactly what I always hoped for in a family. And we put up an above ground pool in the fenced yard to the west of the house and have had a blast all hanging out there together. Oh, and too cute. We got to watch fireworks from our back patio on the 4th and dd said "I love 4th of July because we get to go to our friends (we have friends that usually do a cookout) and I get to spend time with Mom and Dad!" Not bad considering she'd just gotten back from a week with grandparents taking her to theme parks and spoiling her.

Anyway, welcome to all the newbies, hi to all my existing friends here and hope every one is having a great week. And BTW to the newbies to the board, everything I described about my family above was stuff I never thought possible when I first joined the board so don't give up. There really are good men out there that will love you and your children.

You know, I'm just tickled pink for you and dd, Andrea. "Music Guy" sure has brought so much to both of your lives - and in turn - you have brought so much to his.

I'm still dancing over your new job - - - what an unexpected, positive ending to what started out as a scary situation!!!!!

AND WHOO on regular doors that lock!!!!!!

Andrea I am SO VERY thrilled for you!

It sounds like it's all picture perfect.

Too funny that the bathroom stuff YOU were freaked out about is bothering MG and not you. LOL

Was thinking about you the other day and meant to post a "Hellloooo Andrea, how's the house?" so, I am glad you updated us.
