I know I'll pass. If I want to up some scores I can always take it again. I need to do well on the verbal portion and that's my best thing. I'm really excited to finally TAKE the GRE. I've put it off way too long.

I'm going to get going on my MA in Literature and Linguistics. I have two courses under my belt already. With one course a year it will take me 4 years. Very doable, and I should have it by the time my youngest is 18.

It went well. I got 82% on the verbal. I would've liked about 6% points higher (I'm really hard on myself when it comes to academics). This will be fine if I can get into the grad program with that score. Now I have to speak with someone there in the department.

I'm relieved it's over....*phew*

3 hours in front of a computer with deadlines every 30 minutes is NOT my idea of fun. It was a hard test.

Congrats Candi!!! That is excellent news.

Now, where to go from here? What kind of grad program will you be applying for?

I'm going to apply to the English grad program here, Literature and Linguistics program. I have to get 3 recommendation letters (2 Academic..hmmm, does that count the professor I worked with? Not sure), write a Statement of Purpose (my purpose is get the Masters and RUN!...LOL), and apply by January 1st of next year. I can take one more class as an undeclared grad student I think, so I'll do that in Fall....if all goes well.
