Something good...and something bad...

Hi all...

Well, I guess that I should start off with the beginning of my day. I live in a condo, as I was driving towards the exit, I noticed a truck stop in front of me. Wondering what he was going to do, I stopped.

However, he DID NOT SEE ME!!!!!

I honked my horn repeatedly..and he continued to reverse right into me! I was driving a loaner car (Honda Accord) from the dealership, (My Odessey was getting a new transmission (the old had been recalled). The entire front end of the car, driver's side...was pushed in to the tire, making the car undrivable.

The guy gets out of his car, and says he never even saw me. His girlfriend asked if we were all ok...my children were strapped in in the backseat..dd (9) ds (5).

We had been involved in a serious car accident 2 years ago, and had all been taken to the hospital on backboards and neckbraces. The chidren were ok... I haven't worked since. I was supposed to be returning to work in the fall...as a teacher. :-(

My children were ok...I had to be taken by rescue...on a backboard with a head brace...to the hospital. I have severe whiplash...again...and was given lots of pain meds...and a neck brace, and told that tomorrow the pain will be much worse than today. yeah?

Then this turkey trys to blame it on me by saying that I must have been on his bumper!!! Can we say...What a JERK!!!

HA!!! Still his fault because he backed into me!!!!

THE GOOD NEWS!

I joined eharmony this morning..and sent communication off to the two matches that they had sent to me. When I arrived home, both of these guys had responded back!!

At least my love life may be looking up!

Hope everyone has a great weekend...

Sorry to hear about your accident. I hope you don't have too much pain tomorrow and that your recovery goes quick. At least your kids are fine, you were driving a loaner and it wasn't your fault. But still, it is a bummer and a huge inconvenience not to mention your neck difficulties.

Keep us posted regarding eharmony. Good luck - how happy that 2 have responded to you!!

Thank you...

I am eternally grateful that it was not worse...I had visions of the truck landing in my lap. One unfortunate aspect of this is...the other accident that I was in 2 years ago..same type of truck...so I am having flashbacks to that day.

Yes..I was quite happy to see that they had both responded back to me...as I had only written to them this morning!!!! :-) Plus...this is someething that will help to keep me a bit diverted!

Hopefully they will write back sometime within the next couple of days.

I hope your weekend is wonderful!

Thanks, J,

I found the eharmony communication system to be one of the best online. I always liked picking the questions and seeing the answers. And I really liked that you could make them disappear with no strings when you didn't like their answers!! That is a neat site.

Hey...

I totally agree. Although it's a bit disappointing to be the one who gets "terminated"!

I really appreciate their questions...as they are good ones...some I might not have thought of myself!

We'll see what happens over the weekend. :-)

Hopefully this could be a good diversion for me...so I'm not thinking about how I would love to ring the guy who hit me's neck!

Thanks Maggie...

The physical pain that I am currnetly feeling is nothing compared too the ANGER, RESENTMENT, AND downright fear....that this man may well get away with his lies.

He reversed into me...and reported to the police that I had crashed into him.

LIAR!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be taking him to court...I doubt that his girlfriend would be willing to perjure herself on the witness stand. When we were talking about the accident, he was tying to say that I must have been right on his bumber...and she said, ..."no she was wasn't"

I also have the dubious advantage on my side that children are a more credible witness than adults...it's not as easy for them to lie.

hugs Jen. I am so sorry this happened to you. How are you doing now, a couple of days out? I hope you have some really good painkillers!

I read your issue re: what anyone else would have done about the kids. Like someone else pointed out, only YOU can know if you did the right thing for you and your kids.

I had to call 911 and be hauled out of my own home last November. First time that's ever happened. And I knew my 9 yo ds was SOMEWHERE around, but wasn't sure where. So, when they brought me out on a "sling" type

Becky

It looks as if I may have no choice but to have them testify. Unless I can find an expert accident reconstructionist....

I would definitely not do this again..I could have had the police come...then gotten my kids to camp...then gone to the hospital...
