Speaking of Cheesy pick-up lines....

We started talking about some of them in the "Going out w/out SO" thread. Seemed appropriate to elaborate on the one's we've heard...even long ago. Some are so unforgetable because of how stupid they are!

Mine that I remember are....

Of course, the old tried and still UNtrue...."are you tired? you've been running around in my mind all night"

"That's a great dress. But it would look much better wadded up on my floor tomorrow morning."

Oh and I was wearing a necklace with an "M" on it and some dude comes up and asks me, "Is that M for MIRACULOUS?" I about choked on my drink!!!

Even Shane had a cheesy line at first..I was on the dancefloor and he was watching me and as I exited, he says, "You look thirsty" I had no idea he was talking to me, so I walked away. I would have anyway. It was cheesy. But he gathered up enough nerve to come back and he won me over. His strong southern accent and deep sexy voice comes up beside me and says, "Darlin' I don't know much about dancing, but I'd love to dance with you." Even that could have been a little cheesy, but he was so sincere. And so cute!

the thing about them is that the right line and the right guy always works, right? Still, there's nothing better than what's your name.

Back when I was a young teacher, one of the overgrown boys with a fake ID would practice his lines on me. The only one that stuck in my mind is: Heaven must be missing an angel because you're here. I always advised him to not use them, they were so bad.

Yeah that one is pretty bad. I would love to know who came up with some of these and how bored they must have been to have the spare time to think this up. "OOOH, Dude! I'm gonna totally get this chic with this line! Watch me!" PLEASE!! You'd think after the nonexistant level of success of these lines, they'd just get buried forever, but some idiot still manages to dig one up and use it like we're going to all of a sudden find it endearing.

LOL!

Well I don't think I've ever had a really cheezy one used on me.

I haven’t ever been hit with an actual cheesy pick up line. The one that always gets me is “I’m just visiting from out of town, do you like living here?” That one gets me started because I LOVE to talk about Seattle.

My friend says she’s gotten the “other guy” approach, the “My friend really thinks your hot, but is too shy to talk to you…” and then they point to some dork across the dancefloor that they don't even know...and she's like "whatever!" but ends up talking to the first guy.

And also, I do know of a pick up line that always makes me laugh “Do you have a little Italian in you? “No.” “would you like one?” LOL
