I have a HOT date...with myself!!! My kids leave today to go to their dad's until Tuesday. So I am planning on spending the weekend doing some rejuvenating things for myself.
I have borrowed a couple of movies from the library that I have been wanting to watch, I have a "fluff" book that I'm going to enjoy reading on my deck...after I have slathered on some major sunscreen...no more skin cancer for me!, and while this may not sound rejuvenating..I'm going to do a little bit of organizing...because I will feel more relaxed knowing that I have made another attempt in that area.
We are having a Tax Free weekend here so we're shopping. I bought D his school supplies and shoes and Shane bought be some very over-priced shoes and boots. Dylan went to the circus with my parents so we had a quiet weekend alone. No one came over. We just stayed out all weekend driving and enjoying each other's company. We're usually used to my friend, Rebekah coming over and going wherever we go, but she had a date, so we got to be alone for a change.
Tara: Looking forward to hearing how camping trip went!
As for me, I am a little after the fact. Oops!
I did NOTHING all day Saturday except be at home and read in between loads of laundry, some dinner I made and dishes. J was gone for quite a while, and I was 2/3rd's of the way through Cold Mountain and I refused to quit reading until it was done. It was TOO good to put down once it really got going. Now I guess I'll see the movie, even though I have heard that it's nothing on the book. But I really want to see Renee in her part.
On sunday we got up and hung around for a while and then went to Denver for a Rockies game...where they got their butts creamed.
And really, that was about it for my weekend. Then I had a great deal of trouble allowing myself to go to sleep last night, because I knew a short weekend would be over. Of course J passed out completely, so I was laying there alone, refusing to sleep like a kid. LOL!!!
Hey no fair....you were in my neck of the woods and I didn't even get to meet you! LOL Just kidding, I know you were camping.. Other than realizing you can't camp on the ground, I hope you had a good time. You could have always borrowed my air matress.. We are going camping this weekend with 3 other families, should be a lot of fun. We are going in Lebanon Maine only 1 1/2 from us.
We will have to get together after I get married, we are not that far from one another. Can you believe it's only 44 days away... holy cow.
Oh, I am going to court on the 20th (4 days before our wedding) with the ex for modification in child support so you know what the idiot (can I say that here?) does...he tells me that he is not paying for anything extra like Fall Ball (baseball) for our son and when we go to court he is going to ask for me to pay for EVERYTHING including extra curricular activities.... what a jerk... See it never stops with him... I haven't been sleeping that well either nightmares that somebody is after me...(poor J, I am almost on top of him every night). Then this morning I remembered I used to have terrible nightmares before I went to court the 1st time. Why oh why....
Anyway I am trying to concentrate on the wedding and limiting my already limited interaction with the ex, so that will help.
I am sure we will have a good time camping, the kids are so looking forward to it. There will be 10 - 12 kids between all our families plus the adults. I am looking forward to relaxing.
Personally, no hot dates this weekend.

Anything else that may come along is a boon!
Have a wonderful time in the White Mountains...
