Ok, I think this is the first time I posted my whoes on here, but here it is:
Monday, I was told that I will probably not have my contract renewed (ends Dec. 31st) from my company that I have worked for 6yrs and I'm pretty upset about it because it seems that my colleagues (who I thought loved me), seemed to have been complaining about stuff behind my back, but not telling me in my face, but directly to my boss.
If it was huge issue, I'd say, ok, I understand, but it's stuff like:
Twice not entering detailed enough information about a request I was working on and I got sick and/or was in the hospital and they were unsure what to do.
About being late a few times on a commute that used to take me an hour ONE WAY, but now takes me 2,5 due to traffic construction on the roads. I couldn't call on the road, so I was 5 minutes late and they were upset that I didn't call. IT'S dangerous and illegal, I am not going to call for just being 5 minutes late.
I receive the best reviews back from the people I work for. I have people fighting with each other, so I can be on there team, because I'm the best at what I do. I get A+ reviews from every job I take on. NEVER once in 6yrs a complaint. AND NOW THIS! My boss hates me. I know she hates me, so anyone that has anything to complain about, she takes it as her opportunity to write me up. IT'S TOTAL BOGUS and right before CHRISTMAS! ARGH.
These women make mistakes EVERYDAY, especially the one that went behind my back to my boss. I have backed her up totally and my other team members. I have helped them whereever I could if they needed it. Bent over backwards, and for what? So they could put me and my kids out of the street before christmas? I TOTALLY FLIPPED out on them, but the main person isn't even here to attack. They all have their families, their boyfriends, and NO KIDS. I don't, I have only myself to depend on and this job to get us through.
I know I can get a job again quickly. Even in a time like now, where there are no jobs to find. I know what I have to offer. I applied to two different jobs yesterday, that pay 17-28 Thousand dollar more the year and they contacted me immediately within the hour. They both want to see me asap, so I know I can get something, but it's the whole principle, that I again thought I could at least trust my coworkers not to stab me, because we work so well as a team and now, I can't even trust them.
Catherine

I'm so sorry, Catherine. That sucks totally bad! I know how it is...I've been there. People are jealous and if they want you out, they'll do anything to make that happen!
You'll be alright. Best of luck on the job hunt and hopefully one of your places work out for you!

Here's mine...
At 1:30 Tuesday morning, Shane's cell phone rings and he's int he bathroom. It was a co-worker. One of his sales people. He sounded drunk. Shane talked to him a few minutes and I asked what that was about and he said the guy was just drunk calling friends. But last night, I found out what it REALLY was.
Shane was really upset when he got home from work. His day was awful. He has been the boss of the used car department since he got there last year and they moved all the sales personnel and managers to one building instead of splitting them up and now they have split it up again. The GM has been fired and they replaced him with one of the sales managers from the new car department. The owner is buying another dealership in two locations and looking to create a new team for those stores. Shane is no longer the boss, a guy from one of the other stores is now Shane's boss. Shane said this is only for 2 months and this other guy will be sent to the new store, probably to be the GM. But the bad part is the CEO of the company knows this guy that is Shane's new boss knows far less about the car business than Shane, yet is letting him shine and become a GM just because he's been there longer. I'm not saying Shane needs to be named GM. He probably doesn't want that. Maybe he does. But to put a guy that knows less than my husband in a position of authority OVER my husband is just not fair.
Anyway, they had a BBQ at work Monday night and Shane was talking one of the new car sales people into coming over to used because new had enough people and used needed one more person. He agreed after talking to the guy that's now Shane's boss and he started running his mouth later when Shane came home to get our grill and shop for supplies that he was going over to used cars and he would have Shane's job in a month, that it was promised to him if he came over. So Shane's sales guy called us in the middle of the night to warn Shane that there was a rumor his job was in jeopardy in 30 days.
Shane spoke to the CEO about this yesterday and was ASSURED his job was safe and they knew what they had in him. He was also told that this was just a temporary arrangement and that he was not going anywhere. Shane told me that they were testing him. He is the only person the old GM hired and when he was "reassigned", they wanted to see where Shane's loyalty was. Now they see his loyalty is with the company and he's there to do his job. But it's upsetting that he's being demoted somewhat (with the same pay) because they want to give some dude with less knowledge a chance to be a GM and want to see if he can cut it. Yeah, I'm biased, but Shane is a great car guy and know the business very well. I don't doubt the other guy knows stuff, otherwise, he'd be still on the sales floor. But if he's not seasoned enough, he needs to be where he is and not a GM.
JMHO!
