Want to see what my sister did with a picture of my tree that I emailed to her? It's pretty!

That's so pretty! Did she do that on the computer or is that a Christmas card she sent you with your tree?

your tree is simply beautiful
thanks for sharing the picture
kind of blue today
had areally bad day yesterday
hung up on my b/f today
he just doesn't understand
christmas is hard for me
my mom died at christmas
my ex left me just before christmas
been a single mom for a long time...seems like a lifetime
my dd and her b/f went to her dad's moms christmas eve
and ds is going tonite
my b/f just doesn't get it
this time of year for me is especially hard
he has been a big jerk yesterday and now today
we had plans for new year's but truthfully I would rather stay home now and
spend it with my ds or alone rather than with him
he has no kids
and unfotunately lives at home still with his mom
she has never met either of my children or my dsil to be
he spent most of yesterday with his family but late last night wanted to know
what I wanted to do
he had already said his brother had invited over again
but we were there christmas eve
he just doesn't get it
he took me to my dd and dsil so I could drop off their gifts
and stockings from me
he never wants to come in or stay
they invited him for christmas dinner but he and his mom were going to her brother and sil
so he declined
anyways long story short my dd and dsil and I decided to have it today instead
because they had gone to my ex-mil's
I wanted them to enjoy themselves and not rush their visit
she hasn't seen her nanny in a long time and not a christmas for a very long time
it was an opportunity for catching up and for my ex's family to meet my dd b/f
my ds didn't want to go
him and I had our supper together
we spent time together in the morn.aft.and evening
he doesn't feel very comfortable around a lot of people or around strangers
my dsil said mom he wouldn't have liked it...too many people
today like yesterday morn my b/f calls only to tell me he will be an hour or better picking me up
then he did the same thing this morning
now they have company so he won't be picking me up as planned go do my laundry
I was going to go do some shopping
he offered to take me and then blew me off
whole lot of bs...too complicated
anyway
thanks for your beautiful tree
it brought a smile to my face

I am so SO sorry your Christamas was so blue! That just makes me sad and I know how it feels because Christmas is often sad for me too. And I don't have half your reasons. Seems like we just put such high expectations on this holiday and when it "fails us" we feel even more depressed.

Single parenting can feel like I lifetime. I am only recently out of that boat. And yeah, Christmas was when it seemed saddest. I had a wonderful family and I am eternally grateful for that. But it's never quite the same as sharing that holiday as a family. Your OWN family.

I am sorry your b/f was rather unsupportive. Does he generally fill your needs, and this was just an exceptionally bad holiday for you? OR, is he often like that? Sometimes we stay with someone who comes no where near meeting our needs just because we figure he's "better than no one" and I don't think that's the truth. I think you can better care for yourself alone, while you wait for someone who is truly worthy of spending your time with and who genuinely wants to care for you.

Hugs. I hope you did patch things up with him and feel some better. Glad you posted here, and glad the tree picture brought a smile to your face!

It was WONDERFUL!

I'll start a new thread (if someone else hasn't beat me to it!) shortly here and maybe we can all share our holiday weekend there. Looks like there was a lot of activity over the weekend here, and I am sorry I wasn't around!

Juls and Alison:

My sister is an INCREDIBLE "scrapper" and does things both on the computer and with real scrap material. This was all what she calls "digi scrap" or something like that. I sent her a pic and the next day she sent me that. She never even had to print anything. She does incredible work. Here's a link to her current gallery of stuff, if you're interested in what she does.
