A very nice NYE and NY Day...

Hi all! I know Candi, Judy and Tara already posted their NY updates. But they were hidden in another long thread, so I thought I'd start another one here. I love hearing how everyone's went.
I have to say, I was rather jealous of the other's and their nice "stay at home and relax with the kids" (or in Candi's case, blissful quiet) kind of nights. But we had fun.
We went bowling and bowled 3 games. It was fun. Ty SUCKED in his second game and he was just mad mad mad. (he had a FIVE. That was it) J and I tried to give him some money to go play arcade games for the last game of the night while we played one more, but he said nope. I asked why (Ty is usually a MAJOR quitter. Just no patience. No determination) He said "I came here to bowl. Not play arcade games" and so I said "oh, well what are you going to do for the last game then?" and he gave me this "Duh" look and simply said "bowl".
I was SOOOO so proud of him. And he did do much better. managed a 50. He was happy. And we had a lot of fun.
We got home at about 11 and I got out snacks and curled up on the couch with Ty to watch Spiderman2 with him. At about 5 till midnight we turned on the network TV for the countdown (which bugs me. It's delayed for us out here. I grew up being "real time" with the partiers in New York. It seems so anticlimatic now) and then stepped out onto the balcony to watch the fireworks on top of Pikes Peak. It was clear this year, so we could see them all and fireworks all over the city. Fun!
Then...we CRASHED. I was sooo so tired.
Today was very low key. I am really tired most of the time. Sat in the cold wind and watched J's amature football game (BORING!) and then came home and fell asleep for awhile. And then I ate...all day. So dumb. Must be boredom. Watched a lot of football. Watched my beloved maize and blue lose by ONE point in the Rose Bowl to crappy Texas. Ugh.
So, that's it. Tomorrow will be finish cleaning day. Tree needs to finish coming down. Laundry needs to be caught up. And I need to clean my carpets. Fun fun!

My NYE was ok. Me and the kids went bowling (cosmic bowl-from 730-930 and not a bad price either...$12/per person for as many games as you can bowl). Anyhow, it was bumper bowling and kids did well...Josh's high was 125, Jacobs high was 95 and my high was 130 (with bumpers ;) ) At 9:30 we left, picked up Josh's friend and came home and snacked. Kids played, I messed around. Counted to Midnight, hugged and kissed my kids and went to bed at 1215.
Was an OK New Years eve. Just tired of ringing it in without a male companion!!
Today was lazy. Laid around and watched tv. Now, I'm watching When Harry Met Sally (LOVE this show!)
