Had a baby scare today......

First of all, it's alright. Nothing to worry about. But I did spot some today and I was very scared that I would lose Emily.

Shane called the doctor and I answered some questions. The spotting was not heavy and I wasn't in any pain and the baby was moving normally. It turns out, the nurse asked me if I had sex today and I had just after my shower and that is when we both noticed some bleeding. She said it was normal to sometimes have this happen and that I shouldn't worry unless I am cramping or bleeding heavily, which neither was true.

I just wanted to let you all know that I'm okay, but I was pretty darned scared of losing my girl. Looks like everything is fine and I have checked several times to make sure. I guess I just ahve to be more careful when we're together from now on until after she's born and I've healed up.

Hugs!

Mel,

I'm glad everything is ok!

No more rough nookie! LOL!

I had the same scare when I was pregnant with Nicolas, and that's exactly what my doc told me, no more rough nookie. I was so embarrased!

Good to hear everything is okay.

I also had a scare with rough nookie when I was pregnant with my Nicholas.

The funny thing is that I started having a cramp while I was at work (I worked all day very hard on my feet at that time) and my parents had to come and get me (they were visiting and using my car).

My mom gave me such a lecture about working too hard - little did she know!! It was the hard work that day - it was the quickie in the morning before work.

*SHUDDER*** that was my exh - bad bad memory!!

I understand that fear Mel. Believe me. Did they tell you to lay off intercourse for the next week to two weeks? How many weeks are you? I thought you were well past the point of viability?

No, I wasn't told to lay off. I'm alright to have it. I'm gonna talk to my doctor. I spoke to a nurse who assure me only that the spotting was due to having intercourse that day and it was normal. She even told me that when my doctor checks me for my next pelvic check, I might do that, so it seems like I'm past the stage where I should be afraid. I'm 5.5 months. Around 24 weeks.
