Update: I have someone I like - but I am not dating and haven't had a date in 2 years :-)
I am training for a half marathon at the end of this month and then 2 half ironman races in May (St. Croix) and June (Maryland). The HIM distance is 1.25 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run.
The trip to Maryland will be fun because I am taking my parents and son - we are renting a house on the water and will be hanging out, cooking, and crabbing. I can't wait to see the look on my son's face when he pulls up his first crab. We have family in that area as well. I can't believe how cheap the trip will be - the flights are only $96 round trip!! And that is nonstop!! I got the house for just $200 per night. And the rental car is FREE thanks to all of my AMEX points.
The trip to St. Croix is all for ME!! I am going alone - well - I do know others that are going and who will be there, but I am traveling and lodging alone. That trip is so cheap, too, the airfare is free with AMEX points and my hotel on the water is only $70 per night. This race will be so so so tough. The water is gorgeous, but the bike is very hilly and windy and the run is very very hot and hilly, too. I am hoping I can find an internet cafe while I am there so I can keep you guys updated!!
2005 is going to be a great year.

Hi
I'm online tonight. I'm Tara, 32, (eek!) with two kids, Catrice who will be 11 in 4 days and Connor who just turned 8. And my honey James and my puppy Fiona.
Nothing much new. My sister and I are going to take a class about wine, a subject I love. ;) And I am looking forward to the division playoff game next weekend because I get to go and those of you who have been here for awhile know how I love me some football! ;) Having a great weekend even though the weather was dreadful yesterday. Had one of those yummy nights with James last night and a really great day today so life is good!

Hi,
I am Lori, shhh don't tell anyone but I will be 35 soon, J & I have 4 children, 12, 11, 9, and 8 we live in NH and it snowed all day yesterday, I think we ended up with about 8 inches of snow. I of course was driving around in it yesterday because of all the non kid errands I had to run and there is just no time during the week to do it, thank god for 4 wheel drive.
Whats new with me and my family is my husband and I are buying a house and will be closing on February 18th and moving in our on 5 month wedding anniversary. We are planning so much for the house, before we move in we are going to paint and decorate the boys rooms and they will finally have separate quarters and I won't ever have to hear again...that's not my stuff its his when cleaning up their rooms. The house is a ranch and in the town we live in and it has a new addition with lots of windows and a slider to the deck and its not finished so we can make it what ever WE want to make it which is so exciting and I am very lucky my husband is so handy. I think it might be a sitting room for us and the kids. We are always playing games or on the lap top or playing cards so we thought it would be nice if we purchased a fairly big square table, a love seat and a fire place and just have it for family time or hosting a party or just simply sitting and reading a book. I guess a place where we all just get togetehr...J is talking about putting a TV in there but I really don't want to, we have a tv in almost every room in the house. That is my biggest news for you ladies.
Lori
Hey Lori!
Good to "see" you! Congrats on the new house! What exciting news. I'm happy for you all. We had that snow/ice/sleet yesterday too though I don't think we got as much snow as you. I had to go out yesterday and drive to my dad's bday party in my little car, I was white knuckle driving the whole way! haha. But what can you do, it's New England! Hope everything else is going well for you all! Ex being any better?
