How have you met men?

All this talk about meeting men anytime, anywhere, anyway, has gotten me reminiscing about some of the ways I've met men in my life. I was hoping you would all share some of the ways you've met guys (or girls, for you men out there!) in the past... I want to hear stories :) And by "meet" I mean meetings that have resulted in subsequent meetings, like dates... :)
Here are some of my most memorable meetings:
College, we had the same class and discovered we lived near eachother so we made plans to get together for a finals study session, except the study session ended up being at the beach looking up at the stars...didn't get much studying done. ;)
Las Vegas - One of my first and last attempts at gambling: I kept putting money down on the same # and kept losing and finally I won. I got so excited and jumped up and down and I heard someone lauging behind me. I turned around and smiled at him and he said he'd been watching me for a while and admired my tenaciousness. We started talking and discovered we lived about 30 miles apart. He had the cutest australian accent!
While playing at the park with my daughter- a little girl fell of the ladder and scraped her knee. I immediately whipped out my handy dandy first aid kit and ran towards her...her dad collided with me. He turned out to be a single dad- playing with his daughter at the park.
And then ofcourse, there was work, bars, dance clubs, and the internet.

Orange clouds, this is a good question. Maybe it will give us all some ideas.
Okay - here goes:
- in my early days there were some I met at school
- one was a next door neighbor when I lived in apartments
- another had a horse that was a next door neighbor to my horse
- I met my exh at work - he was in a different department
- one guy I met at a running Xmas party - we were all dressed in pajamas so that made it real easy to strike up a fun conversation and it was obvious we had the same interests
And of course there is online dating.
I love the story about your handy dandy first aid kit!! What a prepared mom you are!! And so sweet to help rescue that little girl!!
I can't wait to hear what everyone else has to say!!
I met this guy in the library, he turned out to be my chemistry lab partner in college. He was such a nerd, but something I really liked about him. He asked me out, but we didn't really get together because I was to embarrassed to tell my girl friends I liked a nerd. Sad but true!!
Newspaper ad for a handy man... Seriously needed some remodeling done and ended up seeing the guy for over 2 years.
then of course we have the typical bars, friends, and online dating.
Orange Clouds, this is fun!
When I worked in a military blood bank, we usually had offsite blood drives.

A good friend of mine got married recently and now she is pregnant. I was asking her how they met.
The got set up by a friend who knew them both well. But the important point is that at first she did not like him.
Her friend said, "this is because you are both just going out to eat. The reason I set you up is because you both like the outdoors. Why don't you go kayaking and see what happens." The end result: they both had butterflies and just clicked.
