Well...I've Made A Decision

I've decided that it's time that I have a clear cut plan and a career. As it's going I'll be in college for the rest of my life...lol...or for about 4 more years. So, I went and applied and got accepted for EMT classes. I start Friday. After the EMT course I will be certified and then I will go on to paramedic, and hopefully after that physician asst. The EMT course only takes a few months and then I will be able to attain a job in that field. I've been told that the job availability in my area is very good/promising. I feel very good about this decision. I was going to apply for LPN school, but I was told I would have to wait a year until the next session starts. My mother, sister, and aunt are all in the nursing profession, and I think that this will be a good fit for me. Hopefully all will go well! I'm excited too...

As for my exhusband...I received a number from a lady who goes to church with me. She works w/ the battered women's shelter in my area. She has put me in contact with a woman who is going to help me with my ordeal with my ex and his family. She's also going to help me get legal aide not only if I have to go back to court, but to help me fix what my lawyer has done. I also found out that my lawyer can not hold up my divorce decree b/c of him not receiving all of his payment. I'm going to work on that as well!

Maybe everything will fall into place. It's just time to get the ball rolling and focus on my dd (more than ever) and myself!

It sounds like a great plan to make things fall into place.

Do you know anyone who is an EMT? They work crazy hours. A friend of mine used to be one and she did shift work. She had to spend the night away from home and everything. Her husband was an EMT too, and they rotated who would stay at home with the kids.

It's a good job and pays well though.
