Finally Getting Back on My Feet

And sort of did it by getting OFF my feet! lol

I am (thankfully!!!!) feeling much more like my normal self now and getting past that head cold and coughing thing. I still have the cough at times, but the fatigue has finally lifted. Ahhhhh!!!! How great it is to regain good health again!

I had some geocaching time with my Dad (and the kids) on Saturday, so that was fun. We hadn't gone out caching in months since it got cold here. So it was fun- especially to watch Dad take off in the wrong direction EVERY single time with his GPS as I went directly to the cache with mine! LOL I trust my Garmin more than his Magellan anyday... hehehe

And then today I had a study session with my nursing students (they have an exam Monday morning) and that went well. 23 people showed up... which is a good size. Not too many, not too few. And I think most of them are fairly well prepared. There are still some that I'm scared for... but time will tell on how they all do.

After the study session, I met up with Hiker for a quick dinner date. We hadn't been able to date much the past couple of weeks because I'd been sick- and although we saw each other for a short time on Valentine's and had a lunch date mid-week this past week... we hadn't had a chance to have a REAL date in waaaaay too long! So tonight it was a nice quick dinner, then grabbing Blizzards at DQ for dessert, then back to my house for some lovin' fun. Ahhhhhhhh... just what this body needed. :-)

I love having my health back.

Isn't it funny how we can't truly appreciate feeling well until we have time when we aren't feeling well.

I would make such a horrible patient if I had a chronic disease!!! I can put up with sickness or pain if I know it will end at some point. Like going through labor. Or healing from an injury. Or being sick with a head cold or flu. But to have an illness where it just lingers for months and months and years... I would be a horrid case.

I am SOOO glad I have my health, and it just give me more incentive to do what I can, to KEEP it.

Have fun with your man on your date, too!! I should try skiing sometime. Downhill and XC... maybe some day. My kids and I will be making a road trip on spring break to go see the ex-in-laws. (not to a place where they have snow though- it's at the Gulf Coast of LA.)

Oh yes, Pac-Sun!!!!! lol It was definitely a great way to get back to health! lol

And Hiker was STARVING for something too- hehehe- because I'd been sick and didn't want to risk giving him a respiratory cootie- so it was even awhile since we'd even kissed, much less anything else. We just clung to each other afterwards because it was such a sweet feeling to just be together again. :-) It was just too bad that we had to get up and go get our kids from where they were being babysat- because it was a school/work night and we couldn't linger too long.

Soonee- you mentioned in another thread that Hiker and I didn't want to get married, and I have to clarify. We just don't want to get married RIGHT NOW. But I think we both think that in the future we will. There just isn't any rush to do it right away. I know that if he wasn't someone I would like to marry one day, I would NOT be dating him now. As long as he keeps on checking off my must-haves and as long as he still wants to be around... we will keep on dating. Whether he keeps an eye on his list of must-haves or not... that is HIS business and not mine. I just know that I'm not leading him on by dating him. He mentions all the time, the things he wants us to go do once he is retired- which means at least 10 more years in the future.

Thanks to everyone and your well-wishes for us, and for MY not being sick anymore! It's great to not be fatigued!!!!
