What was your first date?

Some mutual friends wanted to introduce us so we were both invited to a b-day party at a club.

Oh man... mine is nothing but a series of mistakes. Something I know for SURE that I will never do again, as I was just a needy and weak person back then. I'm ashamed that I even have this as my history. But again- it is part of what shaped me into who I am today, and I have definitely learned from all the mistakes.

I met my ex in a club. It was a C&W club where I used to hang out alot, and I was seeing someone for awhile that I enjoyed dancing with alot... but wasn't really interested in anything long-term. But it was apparent that he was interested in more, and so I had broken up with him a week or so

This is a good question because it reminds me of what I was going for back then- the things I thought I wanted or needed which in reality I could not even tolerate!

I spent 8 years in Maryland- half of those years in college. I worked in a military hospital while in school. And the military structure was so rigid and conformatory- that when I met my ex I was attracted to the rebel in him. He was enlisted and supposed to follow the rules but had a "I don't give a dang" attitude and for some reason I liked his spontanious ways and refusal to cave to the military dogma.

I remember distinctly seeing him for the first time. He was sitting ON the desk, lags sprawled, with his camo fatigues UN-ironed and I was like...oooh yeah baby...a rebel...lol!!!! he gave me a nod upon meeting me.

What I figured out 12 years into marriage is that rebelious carefree spontanious attitude translated into lazy, irresponsible slob who can't or won't pay bills. Who would have known?

Our first date- went to the movies and then back to his house for dinner. His house was a mess and smelled like cat pee. While I sat at the table he was cooking. I looked over and his cat was apparently jealous of

Gaggghhhhh I was out with friends for "taco Tuesday" at this local bar where you can get absolutley s***faced and eat cheap tacos all night on the cheap. I opted on skipping the oh so nutritious bar tacos and hit the booz. Upon my glass being empty I mosied up to the bar and asked this guy if i could squeeze my fat a** in the get a drink. He looked down and said in a thick Italian accent "its-a not-a that-a fat-a" and that was it. He assisted me home with my cab ride where upon getting to my front lawn I promptly vomitted and then invited him in. (ISNT THIS THE DREAMIEST OF STORIES TO TELL MY DD WHEN SHES OLDER". After that we started dating and I bought all of his lies hook line and sinker...including one that he owned the pizzaria where he worked (believed that load of crap for 2 years)...oh I was desperate for something back then....Nowhis thick accent repulses me and I cant understand a word he says (LOL....absence does NOT make the heart grow fonder in this case!)
