We can consider that when all of the money is paid.........

LOL!!

How about on an as needed basis? Only it is never needed?

AHH yes...... here we go about the boundary thing again. It's a tough call. Has he been a pain in the neck regarding discussions like these? Do you think he knows about SEV and has other intentions for him wanting to sit down? I mean seeing that your sister blabs everything, I find it odd he wants to suddenly "talk". Or no?

I can relate to the Ex not having money-

Do you think that he wants to sit down and discuss things due to you asking him to come up with his part of the bills? Or is it something else like he wants to be friendly with you?

I'm with you- I would not feel good about being chummy. Phone calls and brief encounters and even birthday parties for the kids OK..but a sit down to "talk" would be wierd for me. I think I would tell him that.

And yes to WEST- how bout getting that bill paid mister before you get to sit down and talk about "life". I like that!!

Another thought- what Cat asked- could this be due to your sister and family's recent intrusions into your life with SEV? I hope not. I f so I suppose she will not she leave any rock unturned??

Not really - in all honesty, we are FINALLY getting to the point where it is not a painful phone conversation every time we talk...

yes - for right now there is the potential to have too much confusion when you have bills to pay - and after that it can go on an as needed basis. Make sure he realizes this is a LOT of money for you and you are more worried about that right now. After all, a stable monetary base makes for a more stable home and parenting basis for the kids and that is your focus.

I think PacSun could have a good point - I wonder if your sister would have spoken to him as well? I would want to strangle her for THAT of course.

Maybe though, it has nothing to do with you and maybe it is his lack of self esteem from these money troubles? And it would make him feel good to feel more connected to you and the kids? But I would not bend on that. There is no way I would become chummy if he is in arears. NO way!! That is just bad "business" practice!!

Wow - this SEV is great - I love his sense of humor.

Your sister definitely needs a huge CHILL PILL for her latest tirade. I think she is seeking validation. I would not communicate with her for a long time after all of this.
