SO bummed though - what a WASTE .. Locks of Love (which we did when she was 4) only takes 10" or more (kind of like me, lol ... KIDDING MARK), & this time, she only cut 8". I couldnt get her to go shorter ... & I felt SO badly all that beautiful thick, THICK, hair, went to waste! Waaaaaah!
Anyway, here is the pic (i am SO happy brushing it now! lol) & also, my nephew this weekend. Can you STAND the cuteness?????

Ave's hair looks great...it is too bad about those two extra inches though.
ADORABLE - as if she wasnt before, but even more so now!

Wow!
When I read the title to this post I mistakenly read it as :
DD got an 8" cut off her hair on toe- PICS! So I thought poor Ave got a nastly 8 inch cut on her toe from her hair. LOL!!! And you took pics of that?? I was afraid to look!!!
OK now after waking up and reading it correctly- Ave looks beautiful!!! I love the new haircut :o)
I like the toe nail color!
Ave looks gorgeous as usual! And I agree- I would feel like "what a waste" mysef- about not being able to donate her beautiful hair, too!
I went through some of those thoughts myself- when I got 5-6 inches cut off today... because I really had thought I might let it grow long, so I could donate again. But with the fuzzy ends of the old perm in it, I just HAD to get them cut today & couldn't wait longer! So if I donate again... it will have to wait for another year or two (or three- to grow out the layers into all one length).
Your nephew is adorable as usual!

Too bad she wouldn't go the extra couple inches. I did Locks of Love twice, but the last time I had a major hair cut they wouldn't take my hair anymore because it has been dyed. Oh well. You'll just have to convince Ave that hair just grows back, and quickly I imagine with her thick straight hair. It's hard for kids to go for the major change concept. They seem to want things to be pretty much predictable and to be like everyone else. I can imagine she didn't want to show up at school and thought no one would recognize her with short hair.
