Last night, SEV, DD16, DD14 and I were heading to DD12’s softball game.

I think the key to this is... the comment was about the EX's thoughts that you were ignoring them. What's important to investigate, is do your DDs think you are ignoring them?? If they think things are fine, then to he!! with what your ex thinks!!!! What does he see/know but what little bit of time he sees of them??? If he isn't around you 24/7... then he can't know, can he??? He's probably griping because he thinks he has been "saddled" with them too much lately. Which is more of a statement about HIM & his parenting than a statement about you.

Hey moon...

I have reserved a special seat on the bus to man camp for your ex.

Oh come on....God forbid HE felt obligated to take the girls home from the game ONCE and *gulp* FEED them deli sandwiches. Geez Moon, what kind of neglectful mother are you? LOL!

I swear, some men get so USED to the moms doing everything that when we actually get a little bit busy and let ONE BALL drop (and in your case I don't see at all how that was even dropping a ball) they wig out like they are suddenly in some alternate universe where they have to step up.

Don't let his skewed perception get to you. The most important thing is how you know you are an incredible mom, that goes unsaid..and how your girls feel. I would not even validate his attitude by addressing it with him. Maybe you can just make sure your girls feel OK with everything..who care what he thinks...he clearly is not as involved as you so how would he even know. It just sounds like a mean barb to me (and maybe he is perhaps just a bit jealous of your new life)

It's so funny Pac, because I was just discussing how much the mom does with ex last night.

The fact that your girls refer to their father by his first name speaks VOLUMES to me!

So I commented to him, "do you think you could help out with some of this".
