I completely forgot to mention the news about my brother--the one that my mom gave up for adoption...My parents met him and his wife a few weeks back after which he told his DD(4) about the situation (the one year old is too young to care--she'll just think this is how it has always been until she is old enough to understand)--he used the Meet the Robinsons movie as a way to bring it up (since Lewis, the main character is a foster kid who ends up adopted at the end.)

How's this for making someone feel old.. my DS8 said to me the other day... "Mommy, do you know you are old enough to run for president?" WHAT?! I said in pure shock.. He said, you only have to be 35 to run for president of the US....

I didn't think 35 was old before but when he put it like that..... i felt old...

Glad to hear an update.... been thinking about you.

I am in the Grand Rapids metro area--the brother I haven't met yet lives in the Detroit area (he is a cop down there)...in fact that is where I will be in mid-July--we're going to take the kids to Greenfield Village!

That's awesome. Greenfield Village is a lot of fun. It's cool to know someone that's somewhat close to me. =-)

When I was in nursing school I had a tough time the first year getting enough financial aid and that sort of thing.
