We're having a lot of fun with PacSun's thread of Firsts.

Whew! It sounds like you dodged a bullet, Soonee. Hindsight in your case is a good feeling! How ironic that Mr Fundie hooked up with Ms Fundie and they got preggo. Just think, YOU TOO could have been pregnant at age 17 living in the basement under the heavy ruling of "the man" LOL!
OK I'm going to cheat and tell you about two guys because they are tied for my first real love.
"R" was my highschool sweetheart. I broke his heart by breaking up with him to start dating "S" (see below). R became suicidal but then straightened out and actually became pretty successful. He started his own construction business and did well. He married a girl with the same name as me, lol. I recently heard that she died of cancer about 5 years ago. I do not know if he has remarried.
"S" was my soulmate. I left R for him. "S" moved away to college in Portland and has done very well for himself in the Art restoration field. I saw him 10 years ago at his sister's wedding. He had a brief marriage (1yr) and has not married again. I don't know for sure but I sense he might be gay, even though when we were together he was not...or at least he did not act like it lol.
My first true love married someone from his college.
My first "true love" defined as someone I was nuts about and was serious about was PsychoBoy, and you all know how that turned out.
JS my 2nd grade sweetie is now an attorney and married with kids somewhere in So, OH.
KC, middle school puppy love was a total mess by HS. He has straightened out,is a professional photographer, and has a live in girlfriend, a single mom.

It seems your suicidal FTL (first true love)
I forgot to say whether or not I think things would have worked iut with the first love/s had we stated together.
With "R" the construction guy. Yes, I think he would have been a good man. He was earnest and fun and so loving and full of life.
With "S"...yes, I would have loved him to my core as we were so connected. But if he is gay now as I suspect, well, you can all see where THAT would have led...LOL!
Am I totally inexperienced with men or what? Going back over my "history" it really is just a 2nd grade sweetie, a single middle school puppy love, my X, then 3-Month Fling Guy, a few dates with a half dozen guys, and now M. That's it, total experience with men. And it's not that I'm super picky or anything. But I guess I have always been a one guy at a time kind of girl.

Well, I never got married or came really close, but I can say undoubtedly that I am much better off without my first love.
Is it bad that I have no idea where any of my 'past loves' ended up?
James - my 'first love' and I ended up going to different high schools.
I dated him for two years in high school and we actually had vague plans for marrying after graduation.
My first true love & I are still friends.
