Glad to see you got through the LSAT and survived.
Sorry, to hear about things with your lawstudent.
Unfortunately when the Government created the financial aid programs they kind of forgot about grad school and tacked it on as an after thought. As a result grad school financial aid is mostly limited to scholarships and loans. Some schools may have limited grants from state or other sources that can be used for grad school but it may not be much. Many schools also offer teaching assistant or research assistant or other jobs to many grad students. However, those jobs usually don't work for law students. Some schools may even prohibit or strongly discourage first year law students form working at all.
Your main sources of aid for grad school will be Subsidized Stafford Loan max $8,500.00 per year and Unsubsidized Stafford Loan max $12,000.00 per year. If you can get them Perkins Loans may also be available, limited funding since the government stopped supporting the program a few years back. Stafford loans may be offered in the FFEL or Direct Loan
Whew...I bet it is a relief to have that under your belt. I wish you the best in finding the aid you need. I am working on going back to school but I am taking a class here and there until he starts school. Then I plan to return full time; well that is my goal.
"Grad. students have a harder time receiving money than Undergrads do."
You have so much going on!
