FTL and I had a talk last night. He said he would like an application for the position of my boyfriend. That made me laugh. The thing is I am not opposed to a serious relationship but not near ready for anything too major if that makes sense.

Sounds like you said all the right things and he understands, too. That's awesome! High five to you for knowing exactly where you are and what you need and being able to express it honestly.

It was great that you could be so honest with him.

I hope he understands what you meant, and what you need! Don't worry about feeling selfish for wanting your life just as it IS. It's YOUR life and it SHOULD be the way you want it, and the way you need it to be for your kids!

I have exactly what you are wanting, with Hiker. We are together, but at this point, I still have my space, my home, my time with the kids. I have a special needs kid too, in case you didn't know. And so I have to just go day-by-day and my life is just going to happen as it happens. No big plans being forced to happen until it's simply just TIME. And thankfully Hiker feels the same and isn't hunting for more (and isn't keeping an eye open for something else either) so we can just maintain what we have for now as it works great for now. I totally understand what you mean!

Have fun at the concert!
