Kind of peeved....

Ok, so I got sold to my new company two months ago. I had to give up my corporate and personal credit card and reapply for a new corporate card. Well, it seems that my new company took every OUNCE of money I was still good to receive credit on and used it towards my corporate credit card limit. Therefore, I can NO longer apply for any personal cards, because my limit has exceeded. NOW my credit is totally shot to hell because of all these credit cards that I've had to apply for in the last 3 years with my companys and opening new accounts since I came to the states. Now remember, I didn't have any credit until three years ago, so I had to open car loans, bank loans, everytime they did a credit check for a move, etc etc etc etc. The list goes on and on. Then I find out some medical bills aren't paid yet, which is no big deal, because I have plenty left on my health card to pay it off, but it's now stuck in collections, because they didn't send me the bill or they might have still had a wrong address.
So now I'm screwed and I want to move to Texas. How am I going to get a house to rent when they do ANOTHER credit check on all my utilities and credit? How can I get approved without this being an issue? I paid everything on time over a year now, so I'm not behind in any payments. Nor have I ever in rent or utilities. Can anyone shed light on how best to get past this? Am I really going to have to worry about getting the ok on renting a house?

Cat, contact the credit bureaus.
Hi Cat-
I was in a similar situation this past spring.
Thank you soooo much! That is such a great relief! Because I have made this rental property into a awesome one and the neigbhors love me the landlord absolutely adores me. I appreciate it! I just can't believe that opening credit can make your credit so bad. It just floors me! Then everytime they do credit checks, it affects it even more!!! Drives me crazy!
I had half a dozen this year, due to my move and to company changing credit cards and then companies changing. Such a mess.
Thanks again! I feel MUCH better!
I work for meeting and events, so they explained I have to have a pretty high limit in the event that I travel a longer distance and have to stay somewhere for over a week, use all my expenses on my card including my phone which already runs almost 500 or more a month. They just want to be sure I have enough air and don't want me changing my limit for the first year until I'm sure I won't be needing that much. Just ticks me off. Especially since it's all tied to my personal account.
Edited to add: They also think it might happen that I might have to pick up a bill at an event and they don't want their employees saying they don't have the credit ( I work for a major card company) to cover it.

I know about credit problems.
Get your credit reports and write personal statements challenging things. Then they have to put all your challenges on "hold" for a certain amount of time until they clear it up. Might buy you some time, and help to clean up the mistakes made by others.
My credit was shot when I sold my house at a HUGE loss, and was behind on some bills when my ex had some "disease" (in his head) and 'couldn't' pay child support.
I was still able to rent a house for me and the kids. The landlord was just very trusting and as far as I know didn't run a credit check. You could also use people to vouch for you, that sometimes works.
Crappy position to be in, though. Sorry about the aggravation.
