so i was surprised to find many articles written by men saying they wait for the woman to bring up or ask for exclusive dating? hmm do you think this is true?

yes, it's been on my mind... like "how long"

Personally *I* wouldnt bring up exclusivity with someone for at LEAST 3 months or so, unless they were giving me obvious "hints" they wanted to talk about it. In this situation, it wasnt too long ago - maybe 4 or 6 weeks? maybe less? That he specifically told you he may not be interested in anything long term b/c of the kid factor. Now, he may be changing his mind, & his actions are possibly showing that - but i think its way soon to start bugging him for a relationship status.

Relax & date him. Have fun. Stop thinking!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, give it a little more time. I think the kid factor plays a lot into this...don't overwhelm him, at least not at this point!

I also overthink...so it's time to STOP! OK, that's just me being bossy, but you know what I mean.

thanks for the reminder to stop overthinking. i feel better this morning. i guess i get weird moods every now and then....

so i invited MM to my neighborhood bar last night and he was very enthusiastic about joining me. thanked me a couple times for inviting him, etc. saying it was a very good idea. (i'm sure i impressed him with my singing, too lol). we had a fun time. no worries.
