Hi Mel, it's good to see you pop in with an update.

Sorry to hear your parents aren't accepting what's going on in your life- just remember it's YOUR life and you do not need their validation or approval to live it.

Emi is great! She is just beautiful and growing so fast...she is 3 now. I wish I could pop in more often. My job is really hectic these days. Anyway, I so appreciate your support. You're right, B and I have always communicated. He made sure when he decided we needed a break, that I knew why. And I was grateful. It was hard to do that for both of us, but it had to be done to get us where we are now. Time apart often can tell us what we really need in our lives. In our case it strengthened our love and commitment. Couldn't ask for more than that.

Mel

I also wanted to add that Dylan is very excited to go live with his dad and has expressed that to my parents.

I would just go ahead and do my own thing for Christmas and let them come to me.

That may be the only way. They always cook at their house and EXPECT me there and to stay ALL DAY...I have never been able to go over there without having to sit for a while...even when they are babysitting my kids. I have had times where I was running late to get where I needed to be, even for a work party and they would get all upset that I didn't sit and visit for like 30 mins before leaving. They take it that I'm using them as a drop off service for the kids. They tell me they will take my kids anytime, then when I ask them to, which is rare, they get all upset that I'm not spending enough time with my kids...I swear I can't do a thing right with them. It's never enough.
