Is it really that ugly?

OK, I seem to be on a roll here with the male body parts questions and nope, not gay nor meterosexual but...really want to know.

I heard two nurses talking today (I'm in the medical field but not a doctor) and they were saying how ugly an uncircumcised penis is. I was hurt as my little buddy is uncut altough I really couldn't just tell them that or offer to show them. Probably get fired for it but would have been fun as they were kind of cute... ;)

Is it really that bad? I don't know as becuase as I've said before only one gal, the DW has seen mine and shes never complained. I see alot of uncircumcised guys in porn movies although I do know here in the US, more guys are circumcised than not.

Do women really rate them that way and if so, what are us uncut guys to do? I don't really plan on doing anything about it but am going to be really self conscious at the doctors next visit or anytime someone may see my friend down below.

Wow, if it wasn't bad enough just being normal in size, now I have to worry about how he looks! Jeez!

I'm cut but I don't think it would really matter either way. DS was circumsized but I don't think it was done quite right and think he may have to go back for some more surgery but he will have to make that decision when the timing is right?

I don't think they're ugly at all.

Uncut here, and in agreement with Lil M ... that was just rude. Wonder how those nurses would feel if someone suggested that they have themselves surgically altered for cosmetic reasons?

Those nurses are wrong. They are idiots. And they are totally unprofessional.

My personal opinion is that the intact penis is VERY attractive. I love the way it looks when "at rest" and I love the way that it feels during sex (can't tell too much of a difference between intact and snipped when it's erect- depending on how much foreskin there is). My bf is intact (so is my exH), while my husband is snipped. There are a lot of things I prefer about intact males... and there are a lot of things I prefer about snipped males. The appearance of the penis itself is not so terribly different from one to the other. One is wearing warmer clothing than the other. Oooooh, HUGE difference!! NOT.

Ignore those nurses. I'll lay money they won't be working there in a month. I can't believe they would say something like that at work!! I suppose there are shallow people everywhere.

Edited to add that both of my sons are intact... I don't know why I feel led to share that, but there it is.

(ex?)SO has an uncircumcised penis, and I have to say it's the nicest penis I've ever seen.

I don't think you've got anything to worry about. I had an ex who was born with hyperspadia, and after a major operation (at the age of five) to correct it was left with a lot of scarring. Now THAT wasn't particularly attractive, I have to say.

First off, who talks about this stuff with coworkers where others can hear? And second, there are some people who are not developed enough to create their own opinions, but rather just go with what society teaches them. Thank God we all aren't like that or only big breasted dumb blondes or Brad Pitt look alikes would be getting laid. I find it so sad what is done to these baby boys, who are we to decide to alter their body for no reason other than the fact that we are told to do it?

I'm certainly not trying to defend the two nurses who said that. But I work in the healthcare field as well - in a hospital setting - and I will say that sex is seven of the top ten topics that is discussed among co-workers of both sexes. Everybody pretty much discusses everything: penis size, foreskin, breast size, personal grooming, sexual experiences, likes/dislikes, etc.

In addition to "talking about it", there are numerous and frequent exam room/unused O.R./broom closet/stairwell/elevator/parking deck relationships that develop and there are very few secrets in this environment. So everybody knows who's "doing" who.

For those who don't work in an environment like this, it can be very shocking and/or confusing. But when people work long hours together and have (at times) people's lives literally in their hands, very strong and sometimes passionate relationships develop.

I think that those nurses need to watch what they say when other people are around.

My best friend is a nurse in Australia. Some of the stories that she tells me about what they talk about during surgery are hilarious. You're right, most of what they talk about revolves around sex. But at least in surgery, no one is in the room that will get upset about the conversation.

Fair enough. I am not in that field so it is new to me and not something I wish to discuss with coworkers but to each their own.
