done something really sentimental for your SO? Something that is borderline silly?

When you were in school do you remember making "mixed tapes" for your friends/crushes/girl or boyfriends?

Me and my gf got together at Valentines day and made our bfs a mixed CD...it was all for fun.

For my birthday my bf made me a mixed CD..which I love to listen to

And my dh made his gf a mixed CD and gave it to her last week for fun.

I made my bf another mixed CD because soon he'll be doing some traveling and I wanted him to know i'd miss him and i'd be thinking of him.

I gave him his CD and last night we listened to it together. He really liked it.

I was just wondering what kinds of things others do to keep them on their SO's mind :o)

I noticed when visiting my husband's office that he had printed out a picture of me that he really likes (it's actually this one on the avatar in the black dress, taken NYE, only more of me).

Any reason why this question is on the "Taboo" board rather than the "Romantic Reflections" board?

Too keep myself on my SOs' minds, I continue breathing and existing. ;-)

To show that they are on *my* mind, I am constantly making and doing things for them.... DH and I make CDs for them, with elaborate artwork on the inserts for the jewels... I send her little things to say howdy... just something that arrives that hopefully gives her a wee jolt...

It's all good. :-)

many people are members of just this board, and only feel comfortable posting here.

I'm always doing "sappy" things. I made a c.d. for my SO a couple of years ago, recently I gave him a poem that took me forever to write, and on his B-day I always give him a letter with "20 things I love about you" or whatever age he is turning that year. He loves it, he gets all sentimental when he reads it and he actually cried last year-but he's this big ol' macho guy around some of his buddies, bet he'd never tell them that he loved The Notebook-lol. He wrote a poem for me as well and will suprise me with flowers or my favorite fruit sometimes. He was more romantic back in highschool, he would bring me roses during school or write me love letters. But at least he makes the effort at times which I appreciate, I'm more of a romantic though.

So your "bf" is now your significant other over your husband???

I don't put one over the other...I love them both very much. It's not something I could explain in words....

There are a number of people that post to this board that have unique situations that a lot of people would frown upon, and therefore they are only comfortable posting in a board where we are understanding and accepting of them.

And besides, there is more to us than the Taboos subjects we indulge in.
