hello
my wife and i have been lurking here for a while but never posted. we saw a post that one of the ladies here used a certain kind of shaving cream for "down below" and that she was not itchy for a while afterwards. we tried shaving w/regular shaving cream once before a while ago but it left my wife itchy starting the next day after we had done it, so my wife bought some of the shaving cream that had a link on the post we saw and we tried it out last night and she is itchy today. i guess our question is, do you have to shave the area on a regular basis until the hair stops growing so fast? it looked like the area where i shaved was clean and smooth last night but today it looked like there was some hair growing back plus she was kind of itchy.
we would like any advice anyone could offer.
thank you

Welcome to the board, Bobby.
I've been shaving totally for over 5 years, my husband 3 years, I've never had a problem with rash or itching, but he did for a while. He found using an Aloe shave cream helped especially when he rubbed with hydrocortisone ointment immediately after. His rash and itching disappeared after a few times using the hydrocortisone ointment. Good luck and enjoy.......feels so wonderful.

I was at the "adult" store this evening and I noticed four or five different shaving creams there including Coochie. They were in the condom/lube section - maybe try your local sex shop for suggestions.

Not a coincidence because the article is about using hair conditioner as shave cream for those areas.
My GF and I have tried using our hair conditioner and it really does seem to work well.

thank you for your suggestions, we will be sure to try some of them out next time or any other time we try shaving again! dw had purchased some "coochie" and that is what we used when we tried last week. we were in kmart the other day and we saw a product called "zero bumps" and she said that it helped with the itching quite a bit. once again thanks to everyone that had a suggestion.
Just curious - are you a Hill Street Blues fan?
