Parting the Red Sea......

Ok, this isn't really taboo but I have a question about having sex on my period.

I have recently started a new pill that has cause constant BTB (break through bleeding for you guys who may not be in the know). My problem isn't having intercourse while bleeding a little. My problem is that I love oral sex done on me and will NOT let dh do it. And oral sex, nipple play and/or my trusty clit stimulator are my standard foreplay favorites. And nipple play is out because these pills cause my breasts to hurt.

My question is how do I get over feeling skanky? Are guys put off by blood? Dh says he's ok with it but the truth is he hasn't gone down on me since I started bleeding 9 weeks ago. And the other truth is that I don't want him down there.

Please help. And before you tell me to go off this pill let me tell you I've only been on it for 9 weeks and my doctor told me to try and keep with it for 6 months. I plan on following his orders.

Any help will be apprecitated.

Personaly I dont have a problem with it.. But my DW is bit squesmish about it.
There have been a few times that I have done it that was just before, or not quite through yet
(very light if any) and was suprised my slight amount of blood. I just shruged it off but I thought my poor DW was going to faint on me.. Its just all part of it as far as Im concerend. If he says it dosnt bother him, then there is just 1 way to find out..
Let him!!!!!!!!!!

Hi apricot.sushi,

Did you ever end up taking a break off the pills for a few days to try and reset your cycle?

I can't think of the brand name of this item, saw it at Target in the feminine hygiene dept. It is a little like a diaphragm in that it is a "cup" meant to be used only to capture menstrual flow so sex is "cleaner" at that time of the month. Maybe someone who reads this thread will know the brand name of it.

I was JUSt going to suggest that, it's called instead.

Thanks.

He and I aren't bothered by it with intercourse, but it's the oral part I'm having a hard time with.

Are you saying that you've done oral while she's had a light flow?

Sorry to be so graphic, but it is nice to have the man's view on this.

Hi again.

I suggested going off the pill for a few days to my doctor but his goal is to protect me from menstrual migraine. So he doesn't want me to take a break.

I think oral in the tub might be a good option. We have a great big garden tub that we enjoy, and with bubbles and candlelight, well, no one can see anything....

Thanks for the suggestions on the caps. Someone suggested that Instead cup, too. I have yet to try either.

< It works, I have tried it! :)>

You mean you've tried it during sex on your period? And it worked?

Ok, maybe this might be my answer. I normally wear pads and that definitely contributes to the skanky feeling. I never wear tampons because of the tendencies of tampons to completely absorb every last drop of moisture inside me.

I'll let you know how it goes.

hi Jazz,

The relief I feel from my long list of nasty female symptoms makes the BTB worth it. I'm taking Seasonale and it has literally stopped my ovulation pain, midcycle nausea and fatigue, and cramps are almost non-existent. I'm still waiting on it to fix my lumpy, painful breasts and my acne. Patience. I just didn't expect this hitch in our sex life. It never occured to me that we would suddenly stop having sex just because I was too skeeved out to let him do oral on me. My sex drive hasn't changed. Just my attitude.

Interesting about the flow stopping during arousal. So, if I fantisize all day, will my flow slow down? I did notice I was horny all day and my flow is a tad bit lighter....LOL. I will definitely have to do some experimenting.

Thanks for the suggestions,

Apricot.

yes, I have had sex during my period with it....it didn't help a lot when my flow was very heavy...but when it was light, as you seem to be describing, it worked great.
