We can be positive, but it also helps to surround ourselves with objects that are positive or that have a positive meaning for us. These can be things that remind us to be or to stay positive, things that make us laugh or that help us ground and release.

It can be a crystal prism that fills your room with a rainbow, or a wind chime whose song makes you smile. Maybe it's a book that you never tire of, or a photo of your family and friends.

What are the positive things that you surround yourself with?

Hi Poppy, The sound in my home is very important to me. I try not to have television blasting crap at me all day for one thing. I prefer to hear the birds. I like to open the house up when I can to the outdoors. I love it when my home is "settled".

HI La nice to see you,

I totally agree with you on not having the TV blaring in the background... I never understood why it must be on if one is not watching it...

Blond hair. It surrounds my head. It used to be a mousy brown. I hated it. I love having golden hair. I also love SIMs2 (especially when it comes to building houses).

I confess that at times I need the tv on for background noise as it helps me concentrate. I sometimes need a little bit of distraction, too.

Most of the time, though, it's so relaxing and grounding to hear the birds. Like you, most of the windows and doors at my house are open. Years ago birds used to nest in the tower, and a couple even flew in the house to visit. Sometimes at night, I fall asleep to the sound of crickets. I also hear the neighbouring kids playing, which I find reassuring.

What kinds of birds live around you?

Oh yes! They are the best!

No furkids here, but I've been spending more time with my friends' furkids. I think I'm beginning to like dogs, too ;-)

Your puppy is so cute! I bet he (she?) brings you a lot of joy and laughter.

Are you an avid photographer, Suzan? What kind of music do you listen to when you feel like dancing? And when you want to relax?
