I have found so many old friends that I've lost touch with over the years! Then, this past weekend I "found" my step-brother and step-sister whom I haven't seen in several years (long story). But found out they both have children now. We're making plans to get together to catch up. They're still close by in location. I love facebook!

I have it because my best friend wanted to add me as a friend and I had to join in order for her to do so. I have no personal info on it, except for my name and birthday. I have it set up so that if people send me messages on it, they will show up in my e-mail. I never access it unless I have something specific to tell someone. Other than that, I really don't use it.

Traci, that's great that you've found your step-siblings!

I've been able to find a lot of former colleagues and friends I had lost touch with. I wish I could find some school friends, though. The flipside to all this happy findings is that there have been a couple of people I wishes hadn't found me as they got onto FB!

It's probably just as well that you don't have any personal info. I have some personal info, but not my birthday. And apart from a couple of apps, I don't do those games and such as most as just a way to gather info.

Ummmm .... extremely active .... but I don't do any of the Mafia Wars ... or Find the Eggs ... or stuff like that ... I just keep in touch with all kind of people via their status updates and my own .... I really enjoy it ...

You can "de-friend" those people and they do not get alerted to that fact .... they just disappear off your friend list and you off of theirs ...

Lots of people do that and blame it on a Facebook Glitch, if they ask

I have no qualms about clicking on the ignore icon, which means that I don't have to deal with defriending later on. And there are a few people who are still waiting to be friended.

There are a few people whose absence in my life made it a more joyful one. Between a happy and tranquil life and not wanting to hurt these people's feelings I know what I choose!
