Are you organizing something, are you hoping that your SO will surprise you or are you calling it a normal Saturday night?

Hi Suzan,

What do you both usually do for Valentine's Day? Do you go out or stay in?

Your dog is so cute!

For me it's another day especially since I'm single. I guess we all secretly or not so secretly hope that our SO's will remember and do something nice, but it's just more complicated than that at times. Plus I am not the world's most thoughtful and romantically-minded person, and were there a day where the social convention were for women to remember and plan something, I would fail miserably LOL!

What kind of flowers do you like?

I sometimes wonder if it's harder for people that are single ?
Guess I am thinking of my two sons who are in their mid 20's ::sigh::

I love gardenias & roses,
One year DH bought the most simple yet perfect flowers.
Just a few nothing big .. I loved it :)

I never organize Valentine's dos as my husband does not believe in them. I do however try and do something nice for myself. I am meeting a friend next week for an early celebration of the day, in a non romantic but loving way!

Hi Poppy,

No plans here ...

So it's on a Saturday this year.

I may go visit x-dh in the nursing home.

Not going to worry about it really but if I'm down I'll go get myself a giant gerbera daisy if the store has them : ) Or something else if they don't.

I wonder what it would have been like tho ... if Joey were still around... Ah well, that's life ...

Usually I try to get something Special for my kids...I am single again and it seems like that's per usual for me...I actually bought my dd a necklace that says Love on it and it's kind of something "Blingy" and I just know she will LOVE it...She is on her own as last year she went through a break-up.
Probably ds and I will do our usual watch tv maybe some snacks or something special for supper...really don't know yet...it's is just really another day for me personally...once I had a b/f break up with me around Valentines so for me I have no expectations...

I don't celebrate Valentine's Day. I don't need a commercial holiday, to let the people I care about, I care.
