Do you colour your hair?

  • Yes, to change from my natural colour
  • Yes, to cover the greys
  • Yes, but I only put in highlights
  • I used to but I don't anymore
  • I would like to but I haven't yet
  • No, I've never dyed my hair
  • Maybe one day!
  • Other

I voted other because I had two answers, I do change my original hair colour and then I do colour my hair due to the abundance of grey.

I replied 'other', too.

Nowadays, I stick pretty close to my original colour which I find most complementary but I colour to cover the grey. It doesn't make me look haggard or hard or old!

Sometimes I highlight my hair in addition to colouring it. One day soon I'll stop colouring my hair have just have streaky silver and black hair. That idea is still making my three hair stylists scream in horror LOL!

voting was easy because I never have colored my hair.
I got my first greys at 23. The golds and greys are
fine.

I voted no but having developed a white forelock at an early age-I've done some deep thinking before deciding not to ever colour my hair. Mother being a beautician and seeing the results of chemicals vs hair in her shop

The idea of having significant amouts of grey in my hair drives me mad, but if this is something you wanted to try, I don't see why it wouldn't work, Poppy!

I do highlight sometimes, at the moment I am just recovering from a disastrous DIY with bleach that turned parts of my hair orange.... Will do it better next time.

I color my hair red, and honestly, wished I had done it sooner.

They are saying that there would be such a huge discrepancy between the age that I look and my hair, plus the fact that most days I dress casually and wear minimum make-up.

It's true that going grey would mean having to rehaul my wardrobe a bit and be more meticulous about the look that I want to project. Otherwise, I'd look 15 years older than my real age rather than my current 10 years younger. NOT good LOL!

Aaaah, when one has golden hair the greys are less conspicuous!

You must have beautiful, healthy hair if you've never dyed it. Have you chemically processed you hair at all (perm, rebonding, smoothing, etc.)

Forelocks are very cool and hip!

A high school friend of mine had salt and pepper hair by the age of 16. It looked a bit bizarre at first since you don't expect a teenage boy with grey hair, but after a couple of days we didn't really notice it at all anymore.
