Shopping for jeans is a tough challenge in itself. Should you go for low rise, hipsters, flares, bootcut? The options are endless and the search continues to find the perfect pair of jeans that flatter and hug every contour of the body. The curvy girl has an even tougher challenge ahead of her. But not to worry! This article will highlight how to find the best jeans that make you feel like a million bucks!
What you need to know when shopping for plus size jeans is that there are two cuts available. ‘Misses’ is the cut that sits higher on the waist, is wider on the hips and has a comfortable fit on the legs. ‘Junior’ cuts are those that are low on the waist, narrower in the hips and have a closer fit on the leg than the misses cuts.
Depending on the size itself you will find some variations. Determining size 16 in an in-store and size 16 in a plus size store may prove to be a confusing task but it is not that complex. The size 12 or 14 that in-stores start with is size 16 in a plus size store. Usually in-store sizes stop at “regular” size 16.
The Venezia brand of jeans by Lane Bryant comes in four different styles and from sizes 14 to 28. Basic boot cut is made with a bit of spandex and curves at the hips and thighs so that it hugs every wave of the body. The spandex provides comfort and the jeans come in several washes. The Venezia Flare and Classic styles are the same, the main difference being in the leg openings. Other brands to look out
for are L.E.I, Paris Blues and Dickies all featured at Torrid, the store for plus size women. The jeans are mostly made in junior cuts, geared towards the teenage and twenty-something consumer. The crosshatch and whiskers washes give each pair an individualized flair that the young consumer will love.
Some more brands that cater to the voluptuous body type are Antik and Yanuk. Antik jeans are a celebrity favorite and feature embroidery and patchwork lending their jeans that pretty, homespun feel. Yanuk jeans are a hot favorite in L.A and NYC. This brand of jeans has a flattering fit that gives your butt extra oomph and uses wash techniques from a bygone vintage era. Both brands are divisions of Blue Holdings Inc, the god of all things denim.

Thank you so much for your input! Do you like the GV jeans? I know very little about them and I don't know of anyone else who have purchased the jeans. I'm hoping they're comfortable and affordable.
I think it is not that easy to find ready made jeans for many body types that fit perfectly..
