I'm reading and enjoying both Hangman by Faye Kellerman and Major Pettigrew's Last Stand by Helen Simonson.
Up next hopefully will be one of the many books that I'm waiting for at the library. The One That I Want by allison Winn Scotch and Roast Mortem by Cleo Coyle are both listed as being newly arrived so I should have them this week. I may break down and download Bury Your Dead by Louise Penny instead of waiting for it.
I'm reading "Rebellious Desire" by Julie Garwood.
I started and finished Deadly Little Secret by Laurie Stolarz on Sunday morning, and then started reading The Last Wife of Henry VIII by Carolly Erickson this evening and I'm already halfway through it.
today i am going to start lucky streak by carly phillips.
I got DH to take me to the library this weekend, so I've set aside MALICE DOMESTIC, which is an anthology of mystery stories and easily picked back up. I got a copy of A SALTY PIECE OF LAND by Jimmy Buffett to finish. I should be done in a day or two. Of course, I couldn't come out of there with just the one book, so I have BEATRICE AND VIRGIL by Yann Martel, LAVENDER LIES by Susan Wittig Albert, and THE LOST DIARY OF DON JUAN by Douglas Carlton Abrams waiting in the wings. When I get done with these, I'll have to read a few more that I have on my shelves before I get more from the library.
Are the rest of you like me? I actually seem to do more reading when I go to the library than I do when I'm reading my own books. I guess it's knowing there is a deadline to meet, though I always figure out how many chapters a day I need to read in order to be finished with the book in a week. I started doing that so I would be sure to finish all the library books in time to return them on the due date. There is no due date when I'm reading my own books though.
There is a follow up book to Tamarind Woman if you enjoy it. The next book is The Hero's Walk.
I finished Major Pettigrew's Last Stand by Helen Simonson which I loved. I seem to be on a roll of good books. I'm finally picking up Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See. It's been on the stack for at least
Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See
I enjoyed that book.
