Glad This day Is Over

So I was awaken at 6am Tuesday Morning with a horrible migraine. So I took my meds and went back to bed. With the meds I am on I can take 2 on the onset of the migraine and then 1 every hour after that as needed but no more than 8 pills in 24 hours. Well by 6pm Tuesday I had maxed out on the amount of Migraine meds I could take and I was still have 9/10 pain. SO I called my doc's office and they said I needed to go to the ER. They were pretty busy at the ER and we had to wait a little over an hour to be taken back to a room. I was so thankful that my old roomate was working in the ER. She is a RN, so she was in charge of my care. It was so nice to have someone taking care of you that does really know your medical history and doesn't think your just in the ER for drugs.

Thanks Cindy. I am feeling better now. I have been home for a couple of hours and figured I would go right to bed, but I think since I was in bed all day long my body is not read to sleep yet. But I just brewed a cup of sleepy time tea, so hopefully that will help.

Yes, It is always a comfort when Jill is working if I have to come in as

Praise God the migraine broke and your friend was in charge of your care.

I hope you were able to sleep some so that you can get back on a regular schedule. So great that your friend was working. I can see how it might look suspicious to another nurse, though I must say it sucks that they even have to think about that when someone comes in...

I'll be praying for a good day today and for your migraines to hit the road permanently. (I haven't had one since I was pregnant with Tim, but I'll likely go back on the regular pill, as opposed to the "mini pill" recommended while nursing a babe, and I wonder if they'll show up again.)

Many hugs and prayers!

Is sleepy time tea a special blend you have before bed, or just plain tea at bedtime?

This is the kind I've had: http://www.celestialseasonings.com/products/detail.html/herbal-teas/sleepytime

I'm not sure if other brands have a blend they call sleepytime or if Celestial Seasonings holds a copyright/trademark thingy for the name.

Like Becca mentioned Celstial Season makes the Sleepy Time tea and it has natural stuff in it to help you get to sleep.

I'm going to say the spearmint is the key here. ;) Go, PNW!
