Are you eating enough fruits and veggies

We all know that vegetables and fruits are good for us, yet the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found last year that only a third of adults ate fruits or drank fruit juice at least twice daily, and only 26% of adults ate vegetables three or more times daily.

Go to www.fruitsandveggiesmatter.gov to find out how much fruits and vegetables you need to consume daily ~ it differs according to age, gender and activity level. The site will also help you figure out how much is a cup or half a cup of fruits and vegetables, and how to stretch your fruits and vegetable budget.

Are you eating the recommended daily servings of fruits and vegetables?

There's diet and diet. What about going on a non-diet?

It's not easy when one has a full time job with hours that change, and a little one to take care of, too!

I'm the same as you, Hugs. Right now I'm wondering what I'll have tonight that will complete the 1.5 cups of fruits and 2 cups of vegetables intake.

That's great, Susan!

Do your family like their fruits and vegetables?

Oh wow, HotCarmel - that's impressive. Proof that some changes can really make a pretty big difference.

Eight pounds is certainly something to celebrate and reward, HotCarmel.

What was the name of the grill that you got?

Which fruits and vegetables are your family's favourites, Amy?

It's difficult. The only time it was easy for me was when I was a vegetarian.

Even without looking at the link, I know that I do not get enough fruits and veggies.

Certain ones go over really well at my house -- cucumbers,
tomatoes, carrots, green beans, zucchini, yellow squash,
eggplant, bananas, cherries, grapes.
