I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for the support you guys showed me a couple of weeks ago when Dh and I found out about the fertility thing. I wish I could say that we're coping with it really well, but the truth is, we still haven't really talked about it. We're waiting now for the second round of testing to come back and should have those results next week sometime. We've kind of shelved it until we get those. In the mean time, we're kind of in a holding pattern, although I did tell Dh that I was going to share it all with my brother, who is my best friend. So I've been talking to him and having his male perspective has helped me a lot with having a better sense of how Dh is dealing with it all. Those first few days were the roughest, to be sure, but your kind replies and words of encouragement helped me to get through them. As always, I'm incredibly touched and grateful for the compassion and encouragement that I always find on this board. You ladies, who I know suffer with your own challenges, have been been a Godsend in my life. So, thank you, again.
In other news, I do have some good news to report, though. We found a house in New York, so we actually have someplace to move to now. That is such a relief! Also, dh was promoted last week to the rank of Major, which is just so exciting for him. We also found out which unit he'll be a part of and he's been in contact with them, which is how we found out that (!) his deployment has been pushed back to next summer. That is just such a blessing. It means that we'll have lots of time to get settled and to get into a routine before he leaves. It's so much better than looking at a January deployment. So, a lot of the pressure for the immediate future is off for the moment, which means I just have to focus on the move itself at the end of the month. That's helped my anxiety level A LOT! I still have my moments, but they're less frequent than they were a month ago, and I call that a success.
So, how about all of you? How are you all doing?
